Throughout most of her history, Mystique has been a supervillain, founding her own Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and assassinating several important people involved in mutant affairs. Mystique herself is a mutant, a shapeshifter whose natural appearance includes her blue skin and yellow eyes. At one point, she mentioned she is over 100 years old. Mystique is the mother of the villain Graydon Creed, the X-Men hero Night Crawler, and foster mother of the hero Rogue. She was forced to abandon Nightcrawler, but raised Rogue for a number of years and the two women have mixed feelings towards one another

Mystique is a mutant shapeshifter with the ability to psionically shift the formation of her biological cells at will to change her appearance and thereby assume the form of other humans. She can also alter her voice to duplicate exactly that of another person. Originally, it was clearly stated that Mystique's powers were limited to appearances only; she could not assume the powers of the people she morphed into or alter her body to adapt to different situations. In addition, she could not change her overall body mass when taking on the appearance of a person larger or smaller than she is. Her body is not limited to purely organic appearances. She has the ability to create the appearance of clothes out of her own body. Mystique was shown in at least one instance transforming a metallic part of her costume into a functioning blaster pistol. Whether this was a function of her powers or of the costume piece itself is unclear. She can transform part of her body into a separated, clear and hard substance that appears to be glass, as she does when she appears to be wearing glasses.

As a side effect of this power, her natural aging process has been suppressed (if not completely halted), as she has retained her youthful appearance despite being alive for over one hundred years.

This changed in 2001's X-Men Forever miniseries, in which Mystique was exposed to dangerous levels of radiation in order to save the life of Toad. The process morphed Mystique's appearance to match her more reptilian physique from the 2000's film trilogy, and boosted her powers so that she could now morph her body into taking certain desired physical traits depending on her situation at the time. Examples of this new ability include night vision, wings on her back, talons in her fingers, and natural body armor. She can even compress nearly two-dimensional like a sheet of paper to glide on air currents, similar to Mr Fantastic, which she uses to survive an explosion. She has moved her vital organs out of place in order to survive a gunshot to her torso. She has, once with strain, given herself two heads and four arms to facilitate a gun fight on two fronts, as well as shapeshifted into herself as a child.

Damage to her biological tissue is known to heal at a relatively fast rate and she can form a resistance to poisons upon contracting them. Recently she has stated that her body mass is not fixed and can change when she does. While she retained her advanced powers, she now appears in her old form without scales. Her powers grant her immunity to diseases, agelessness, and enhanced agility.

Mystique is a cunning strategist in terrorist and commando operations, and adept at martial arts and information technology. She has a talent for finding, stealing and understanding cutting edge weaponry. She is a talented actress. She has some natural resistance to telepathic intrusion and wears devices to prevent her mind from being read by telepathy.

MAGMA

MAGMA

Magma (real name Amara Juliana Olivians Aquilla, but also known as Alison Crestmere) is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics series New Mutants, also associated with various X-Men-related comics. Like all the other New Mutants, Amara originally appeared as a young mutant aspiring to become a hero. Amara, a mutant with the ability to generate lava joins the New Mutants and becomes Magma.

Magma is a mutant with geothermal powers and the ability to fly. These grant her the ability to control the movement of earth and tectonic plates, even to the extent of causing seismic upheaval. She can also call forth molten rock from the Earth's core, producing projectiles composed of lava, or miniature volcanoes. When using her powers, Magma typically assumes an energized form that emits intense light and heat. She can also create orbs of a fire-like substance and use them as projectiles or a source of light. Although Magma has triggered small earth tremors without taking on her energized form, she has never been seen to use her power to control lava while in her ordinary human appearance. She possesses an immunity to heat and flame. In addition, Amara possesses certain regenerative powers when in contact with the ground.

ABIGAIL BRAND

ABIGAIL BRAND

Special Agent Abigail Brand is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics' universe. Abigail Brand is the commanding officer of S.W.O.R.D., a S.H.I.E.L.D. offshoot that deals with defending the Earth from extraterrestrial threats. Almost no details about her personal life have been revealed, but she is known to be twenty-eight years old as of the Skrull's "Secret Invasion"

Brand's green hair is a trait that has long been associated with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s enemy HYDRA, and Wolverine disparagingly referred to her as "Hydra-hair" at their first meeting. She revealed in Giant Sized Astonishing X-Men #1 that this is her natural color, inherited from her blue-furred extraterrestrial father. Neither her father's name or species have yet been revealed.Brand has a tattoo on each biceps; one reads "Grace", the other "Anna". The significance of these tattoos has yet to be revealed.Her half-alien heritage has given her the ability to coat at least her hands in some type of blue energy flame that is potent enough to burn through most metals and her tongue the ability to shape alien languages that humans are unable to make.

DEADPOOL

DEADPOOL

Deadpool is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. A disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary, Deadpool originally appeared as a villain in an issue of New Mutants, and later in issues of X-Force. The character has since starred in several ongoing series, and sharing titles with other characters such as Cable. The character is famous for his tendency to break the fourth wall and is frequently referred to by the moniker "Merc with a Mouth."

Deadpool's primary power is an accelerated healing factor, depicted by various artists and writers with varying levels of efficiency. Said healing factor, which was artificially endowed by the Weapon X program, enables him to regenerate any destroyed tissues or organs very quickly. However, his healing factor results in massive scar tissue causing his appearance to be deformed. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion to the severity of the damage Deadpool suffers. Deadpool's healing factor is strong enough that he has previously survived decapitation more than once, though in each of these occurrences, his head had to be reattached to his body instead of his head growing a new body. Unlike Wolverine’s natural healing factor, Deadpool’s is mentally driven to a partial extent. As a by-product of his healing factor, he possesses enhanced strength, stamina, agility, and reflexes. At the time of the gene therapy that gave the character his healing factor he was dying of terminal cancer. An unanticipated side effect of the therapy was a rapid acceleration of the tumors as well, causing them to quickly spread across his entire body as soon as his powers fully activated. Deadpool's brain cells are similarly affected, which renders him resistant to telepathy.

Evangeline "Vange" Whedon is a fictional character, a mutant in the Marvel Comics Universe. Vange Whedon is a lawyer and a member of the Mutant Rights Coalition (or Mutant Rights League). Her ability to shapeshift is triggered when she comes in contact with blood. Evangeline used to be a successful prosecutor until others learned that she was a mutant. She was fired instantly and evicted from her apartment the next day. Her fiancé left her with an e-mail and her family disowned her.

Vange Whedon is a metamorph, and can transform herself into an enormous and uncontrolled winged red dragon. This can be triggered consciously or by the presence of blood. In this form she has superhuman strength and endurance.

Red Lotus (Paul Hark) is a fictional character, a mutant in the Marvel Comics Universe
Red Lotus was born in New Zealand, to American parents, and is the heir apparent to the Sydney Chinese Triad, which was run by his grandfather, who was known as Father Gow. When Gow was murdered, Red Lotus was led to believe that the culprit was Gambit by the Examiner, who wanted to gain control of the Triad for himself.Red Lotus assisted the X-Treme X-Men team against Sebastian Shaw and Lady Mastermind after the truth was revealed, and later helped them while they were trying to repel an interdimensional invasion in Madripoor
Red Lotus is a superhuman martial artist who possesses enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, agility, dexterity, coordination, balance, and endurance.

QUICKSILVER

QUICKSILVER



Quicksilver (Pietro Django Maximoff) is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. Originally capable of running at the speed of sound; exposure to the High Evolutionary's Isotope E made it possible for the character to run at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 5 and resist the effects of friction, reduced oxygen, and kinetic impact while moving at super-speeds. The character's speed allows him to perform feats such as create cyclone-strength winds; run up walls and cross bodies of water.



Quicksilver loses his powers of speed when his sister alters reality, but gains new powers courtesy of the Inhumans' Terrigen Mist. The mist gives Quicksilver the ability to displace himself out of mainstream time and space and "jump" into the future. The character can summon several time-displaced duplicates of himself and appear to teleport by "jumping" into the future and then returning to the present at a new location. By voluntarily embedding fragments of the Terrigan Crystals into his own body, the character could empower former mutants with extreme versions of their superhuman abilities. The effect, however, was usually fatal. The crystals are subsequently forced from the character's body by the mutant Rictor, leaving him without these abilities. Quicksilver inexplicably regains his mutant superspeed powers after having a series of hallucinations.
