NEMESIS

Nemesis was created by the European Branch of the Umbrella Corporation's pharmaceutical company. He was designed to have immense strength and power, yet to also be intelligent enough to follow orders and overcome obstacles, but not intelligent enough to rebel. This particular Nemesis was deployed to Raccoon City to kill any remaining members of the S.T.A.R.S. unit, which had become an annoyance for the corporation. His first victim was Brad Vickers, who he impaled through the the mouth with a tentacle.

Nemesis appears in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in his first form. His face is stitched together over one eye, with the other eye glowing yellow. Nemesis has no lips, showing exposed gums and teeth. Nemesis wears a large, black jacket that almost conceals the tentacles wrapped around his neck. Nemesis also has black gloves, pants, and boots.
Nemesis has no true personality, only his mission. Nemesis' main goal is to eleminate all S.T.A.R.S. members. Nemesis seems capable of speech, albiet limited speech, only shown saying "S.T.A.R.S." Nemesis is ruthless and will take down anything in its way. However, Nemesis is still controlled by someone else, so his behavior could change with an updated goal.
His rival appears to be Rocket Raccoon . Both are mutated creatures that possesses expertise in firearms. They are also polar opposites in size, with Nemesis being a giant, and Rocket Raccoon being very small. They also have some connection to raccoons, with Rocket Raccoon being an actual raccoon, and Nemesis being the terror behind the Raccoon City Incident.

JILL VALENTINE

Jill Valentine is a video game character in the Resident Evil survival horror series. She is one of the protagonists in the original Resident Evil and the first Resident Evil character to appear in the Marvel Vs Capcom series. Preceding Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker, both appear alongside Jill (in the first DLC pack) in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. A skilled expert at close quarters combat and firearms use, and a piano player who memorized every Beethoven sonata, Jill Valentine was a member of the Alpha Team of S.T.A.R.S., a special unit of the Raccoon City Police Department that was set out to deal with terrorism and increasing cases of violent and serious crimes.

Jill's ending shows her confronting Blade and asking if she can trust him then calling it a truce as they both fight off the Legion of Monsters, consisting of Man-Thing, Living Mummy, Werewolf By Night, and Morbius.

In a radical change from her MVC2 play style, Jill is now a nimble rushdown character with little keep-away capability. Exploiting the full potential of her new moveset primarily requires players to master her Feral Crouch technique. This technique put her in an enhanced state that keeps her in a low stance and incorporates high-speed dashes and ruthless combo-based offense, but is considered difficult to control and leaves her defenseless. Her Level 3 Hyper Combo, Mad Beast, places her in a much longer period of Feral Crouch, heightening the risks and benefits of Feral Crouch to a much greater degree.

In addition, she can use various command grabs to break a stubborn opponent's defense, such as the heavy attack button that enables Jill to perform a cartwheel flip over an opponent that inflicts no damage, but immediately places her behind the stunned opponent, where her combo potential can be put to good use.

CHRIS REDFIELD

Chris Redfield is one of the main characters in the Resident Evil series by Capcom. Chris is a newcomer to the Marvel Vs. Capcom series, and is the second character from the Resident Evil franchise to appear in the series, superseding Jill Valentine, who previously appeared in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and preceding Albert Wesker, who also made his debut in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

Chris is the older brother of Terrasave member Claire Redfield. At the age of 17, Chris joined the United States Air Force as a pilot and marksman, and excelled in firearms handling and hand-to-hand combat. Although he was a talented airman, he was constantly in direct conflict with his superiors, unable to properly follow orders without speaking out. Unfortunately, he was unable to settle the many disputes he found himself in, and was eventually discharged without honors.

(In game Story) In Episode 1 Chris is seen fighting Hulk and later seen saving Morrigan from falling to her death. Chris seems to be one of the main protaganists of the story, as he is seen encountering Wesker and M.O.D.O.K. in Episode 3 at gunpoint. He and Hulk no longer see each other as adversaries after they realize that they're fighting the wrong people (e.g. when Hulk caught X-23 and punched M.O.D.O.K. away). Both he and Hulk are last seen confronting Wesker and Magneto in Episode 3 before the cataclysmic events of Episode 4, aiding the other heroes in fighting the villains.

In Chris' ending, Wesker is finally apprehended and convicted for the destruction of Raccoon City. In a formal court procession, the prosecutor charging Wesker is Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil. Before Wesker can interrupt the prosecutor and make a snide retort, the bailiff guarding him is shoved aside by an angry Chris, who then slams Wesker's head on a court desk. Chris tells Wesker that as long as he's around, Wesker will never escape the law and will be rotting in a jail cell for a long time. Chris then apologizes to the judge for his sudden outburst and allows Mr. Murdock to finish his reciting of evidence.

With his heavy arsenal of firearms and explosives, Chris plays well as a keep-away character. His dependable sub-machine gun can keep characters at a distance, while the shotgun stuns the opponent in addition to inflicting damage, leaving them vulnerable to combos. In particular, it is easy to perform the Grenade Launcher Hyper Combo off of his sub-machine gun attack. Chris' mines can serve as traps to catch brash rushdown characters off guard, as can his incendiary grenades.

One main weakness of Chris is his lack of anti-air attacks. He has a hard time defending against opponents who focus on overhead aerial assault, so characters with anti-air assists are highly recommended.

ALBERT WESKER

Albert Wesker, the main antagonist of the hit Capcom series Resident Evil and sworn enemy of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine of S.T.A.R.S. He appears in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 carrying on his appearance from Resident Evil 5.
Anyone who knows him will tell you that Wesker's true loyalty is power and how to gain more of it. A former Umbrella employee, he made many breakthroughs alongside his colleague William Birkin such as the G-virus and the Nemesis Parasite. He was eventually ordered by Umbrella to lure the S.T.A.R.S. team into the Spencer Estate, in order to test the newly created B.O.W.s that roamed the mansion. When Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine discovered his true motives, Wesker injects himself with a specially engineered virus and has the Tyrant attack him, which seemingly kills him.

In the storyline of Fate of Two Worlds, it is revealed that Wesker, alongside Doctor Doom, has been assembled a group of known villains in an attempt to conquer both universes. Doom, on the suggestion of the Super Skrull, decides to siphon the power cosmic from Galactus and his worldship in order to conquer both worlds. Wesker becomes intrigued with the power cosmic and agrees to assist Doom. Galactus eventually begins to notice the theft and attempts to consume both worlds in retaliation. While everyone is focused on Galactus, Wesker is left to his own devices.

In his ending, after Galactus is defeated, Wesker captures the weakened heroes to use as test subjects with the Uroboros virus.

It should be noted that Wesker lacks command moves that are overheads, making him weak on mixups other than teleport cross-ups, and thus limiting his options on opening his foes' defenses. This can be an understatement however, as Wesker must first put his opponent under pressure and trick them into blocking too much so he can feint into retreats or throws, which is a staple for all characters who use mindgames.
