CRIMSON VIPER

Crimson Viper, or C. Viper for short, is a secret agent from the Street Fighter franchise and appears in Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, thus being a recently created character by Capcom this is the first crossover game in which she appears.
(In Marvel Vs Capcom Story) In Crimson Viper's MvC3 ending, she finds an unknown person inside of her office and demands him to leave. The person says C.Viper is a hard person to track down and he simply waited for her here. He reveals himself to be Ultimate Nick Fury and offers C.Viper a job. C.Viper is interested in the money, but questions Fury on why he chose her specifically. Fury says his organization only employs the best and that what he thinks C.Viper is. He then asks C.Viper if she has ever heard of a little agency called S.H.I.E.L.D.

Viper is one of the few rushdown type characters from the Street Fighter series, employing the use of mixups, feints, and baiting. As the only character in MVC3 that has EX moves, Viper is also rather heavily-meter based. She can also perform eight-way angled air dashes for good mobilty.

COLOSSUS

Piotr "Peter" Rasputin was born on a Soviet collective farm called the Ust-Ordynski Collective near Lake Baikal in Siberia. He lived there with his mother Alexandra, father Nikolai, and sister, Illyana. His older brother, Mikhail, had been a Russian cosmonaut and had apparently died in a rocket accident Peter's superhuman powers manifested during his adolescence while saving his sister from a runaway tractor. At first, Peter was content simply to use these powers to aid the other people of the collective; however he was soon contacted by Professor Charles Xavier, the founder of the X-Men. Xavier was recruiting a new team of X-Men to rescue the original team, most of whom had been captured by the sentient mutant island Krakoa.

In armored form, Colossus's has superhuman strength which enables him to lift atleast 100 tons under normal conditions. He has superhuman stamina which means that he will tire much more slowly than regular human beings and can continue exerting himself for hours without tiring. While in this state he also does not require food, water or air to sustain himself and can withstand high impact assaults as well as extreme temperatures from 70º above absolute zero (-390º F) to approximately 9000º F. Despite this near-invulnerability, however, it is still possible to injure him, and if knocked unconscious, Colossus reverts to his human form. In his metal form, Colossus bleeds pure energy when injured, and he has no organs that can be damaged. A particular flaw in his powers is that he must turn his entire body into metal ( for example he can not just change his arm into metallic form). In Colossus's metal shape, he is resistant to telepathy and other kinds of psionic attacks. Colossus is also an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, having received training from Wolverine and Cyclops . He also has had training in acrobatics and sword fighting from Nightcrawler. In his human form, he is exceptionally strong and fit, though not superhumanly so. He can lift about 700 pounds. He has also completed college-level courses at Xavier's school.

It is also worth noting that Colossus only uses these powers in violent situations with the greatest of reluctance. Instead, he feels it is his responsibility to use them for the betterment of others rather than for combat.

CHUN-LI

Chun-Li is a video game character created by Capcom. She is part of the Street Fighter series. In the Street Fighter series Chun-Li was an Interpol investigator who had been searching for clues to the recent death of her father. Getting into a friendly spar with an old teacher of hers and friend of her father, Gen, he gives her a lead into who may have killed her father—the mysterious crime syndicate Shadaloo. Finding its leader, M. Bison, she demands he tell her what happened to her father. To her surprise, Bison attacks and basically makes quick work of her, then flies away, laughing at her and telling her if she attacks him again he will kill her just like he did her father. With tears in her eyes, Chun-Li swore vengeance.

In Marvel vs Capcom, Chun-Li is the original fast character in the Street Fighter series, utilizing multiple rapid attacks rather than the slow damaging strikes of larger characters like Zangief. Her agile and swift movements are a favorite amongst game-players. It is interesting to note that in the early days of arcade fighting games, many other female characters played in a similarly speedy style, following the example set by Chun-Li. In previous games (Street Fighter 2 mainly) she was basically a charge character along with Guile and E.Honda but her style was changed in later games to give her a more technical feel as well as her trademark "speed" granted to the player.

Chun-Li was one of the few characters to be able to air dash pre. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. She can now perform an angled air dash in MVC3.

Morrigan seems to have a certain resentment and jealousy towards Chun-Li. In the Capcom game Pocket Fighter, Morrigan wanted to overcome Chun-li's status as the strongest and most beautiful female fighter.

CHRIS REDFIELD

Chris Redfield is one of the main characters in the Resident Evil series by Capcom. Chris is a newcomer to the Marvel Vs. Capcom series, and is the second character from the Resident Evil franchise to appear in the series, superseding Jill Valentine, who previously appeared in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and preceding Albert Wesker, who also made his debut in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

Chris is the older brother of Terrasave member Claire Redfield. At the age of 17, Chris joined the United States Air Force as a pilot and marksman, and excelled in firearms handling and hand-to-hand combat. Although he was a talented airman, he was constantly in direct conflict with his superiors, unable to properly follow orders without speaking out. Unfortunately, he was unable to settle the many disputes he found himself in, and was eventually discharged without honors.

(In game Story) In Episode 1 Chris is seen fighting Hulk and later seen saving Morrigan from falling to her death. Chris seems to be one of the main protaganists of the story, as he is seen encountering Wesker and M.O.D.O.K. in Episode 3 at gunpoint. He and Hulk no longer see each other as adversaries after they realize that they're fighting the wrong people (e.g. when Hulk caught X-23 and punched M.O.D.O.K. away). Both he and Hulk are last seen confronting Wesker and Magneto in Episode 3 before the cataclysmic events of Episode 4, aiding the other heroes in fighting the villains.

In Chris' ending, Wesker is finally apprehended and convicted for the destruction of Raccoon City. In a formal court procession, the prosecutor charging Wesker is Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil. Before Wesker can interrupt the prosecutor and make a snide retort, the bailiff guarding him is shoved aside by an angry Chris, who then slams Wesker's head on a court desk. Chris tells Wesker that as long as he's around, Wesker will never escape the law and will be rotting in a jail cell for a long time. Chris then apologizes to the judge for his sudden outburst and allows Mr. Murdock to finish his reciting of evidence.

With his heavy arsenal of firearms and explosives, Chris plays well as a keep-away character. His dependable sub-machine gun can keep characters at a distance, while the shotgun stuns the opponent in addition to inflicting damage, leaving them vulnerable to combos. In particular, it is easy to perform the Grenade Launcher Hyper Combo off of his sub-machine gun attack. Chris' mines can serve as traps to catch brash rushdown characters off guard, as can his incendiary grenades.

One main weakness of Chris is his lack of anti-air attacks. He has a hard time defending against opponents who focus on overhead aerial assault, so characters with anti-air assists are highly recommended.

CHARLIE

Charlie, known as Nash in Japan, is a video game character from Capcom's Street Fighter series of fighting games. He is first introduced as a playable character in the original Street Fighter Alpha, but was already part of the series' backstory since Street Fighter II.

Charlie is a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Charlie is first mentioned by name in the Street Fighter II storyline (first released in 1991), where he is the deceased war buddy of Guile, one of the playable characters in the game. Prior to the events of the game, Charlie was killed by M. Bison, although the exact circumstances are not clear (in the English localization of the game, it is said that he was taken captive during a mission and later died during the escape attempt). In the game, Guile enters the World Warrior tournament with the purpose of avenging his fallen friend's death. In Super Street Fighter II Turbo, a scene is shown of Guile visiting Charlie's grave.

Charlie wears green cargo pants and a yellow jacket. He has glasses which he takes off before a fight. He has an exaggerated hairstyle consisting of a large forelock of blond hair.
The Marvel vs. Capcom series provided a twist on Charlie's fate. In his ending for X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Charlie is captured by Bison, who performs terrible experiments on him. Charlie's fate would be left up in the air until Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, where a secret character by the name of Shadow appeared. Shadow was a palette swap of Charlie, with nearly his entire body blacked out, and a white eye shining behind his glasses. He had all of Charlie's moves, but his attacks would set his opponent alight with blue Psycho-Power flames. His supers also had a brief pause where his eye would gleam before the move was pulled off (this made him somewhat unpopular, as the gleam could give an opponent enough time to block or avoid the attack). Shadow would later appear in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes as a secret helper character. However, by Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, Shadow seems to have reverted back to his original form, but by how is unknown. In addition, the ending for Chun Li also hinted that Bison intended to alter her in the same way, and another hidden character, called Shadow Lady, was a Shadow-altered Chun-Li. Shadow Lady's ending in the game also showed a similar fate befalling Jin Saotome.

CAPTAIN COMMANDO

Captain Commando is a video game character, and the former mascot of the video game company Capcom. His name being derived from that of his company (Captain Commando). He is a blonde superhero wearing a visor and a white-and-blue costume with a large star on his chest. He originally appeared in instruction manuals for Capcom games during the developer's earliest days of game production in the mid-1980s, thanking the player for purchasing the game. In that early rendition, he did not have glasses, wore two large medallions with the letter 'C' around his neck, and brandished a gun in one hand and a sword in the other. He was eventually given a beat 'em up game of his own with his present design in 1991 (simply named Captain Commando); however, the game did not catch on with avid arcade players, and Captain Commando was replaced as Capcom's mascot after characters from more popular games, such as the Mega Man and Street Fighter II series, came into vogue.

Like most of his peers in the Commandos, his origins are in mystery as well. Though born in the US in the year 2000 and was 26 years of age, he was able to obtain special ruby shades that allow him to summon his armor. His weapons include an Energy Glove, allowing him to use his special moves such as Captain Collidor, emitting high voltages of electricity and the Captain Fire, emitting fire from the same glove as well. A performed action called Captain Sword actually assembles his entire team from his original game to attack.
